Partners Consulting’s Managed Services Division Achieves CMMI Level 5 Certification

Only 1 out of 20 U.S. firms to have attained this highest level

Buena Park, CA – December 22, 2009:
Partners Consulting’s Managed Services Division now joins an elite group of companies in the world that have achieved CMMI Level 5 Certification, the highest certification level of the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI®) process improvement framework.  Although 107 companies in the world have attained Level 5, only 20 U.S. firms can claim this prestigious ranking.

Partners Consulting’s rating was awarded after a comprehensive assessment of its development methodology.  Entinex, , Inc., an independent external organization, conducted the appraisal in accordance with the formal Standard CMMI® Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI™) methodology.

"The components for successfully implementing and sustaining organizational project improvements have been clearly demonstrated by Partners Consulting," said Rick Hefner, external Lead Appraiser.  “Their strong executive management commitment to achieving continuous improvements provides the foundation for their success."

“Achieving Level 5 performance in software and systems engineering is a tremendous accomplishment for the entire team," said Jim Cisneros, Executive Vice President of the Managed Services Division.  "The achievement demonstrates our ability to manage our processes quantitatively, and to identify and resolve the root causes of issues that arise during a project.”

This achievement recognizes Partners Consulting for best-in-class processes related to requirements specification, design, development, quantitative project management, and maintenance of software that enables Partners to provide the best quality products and user experiences for their clients.

The CMMI® standard was developed by a coalition of representatives from industry groups, government and the Software Engineering Institute to objectively assess the full range of an organization's software and systems engineering, program management and organizational management capabilities. There are five levels of CMMI® maturity, each a layer in the foundation for ongoing process improvement, designated by the numbers one through five with five being the highest. Higher maturity levels signify lower risks to successful program execution.
